Will The Nautilus Hyosung MoniSafe 500 TCR Help My Branch?
As our clients continue to look towards cash recyclers as a way to improve branch operations and gain efficiency, we get asked what recycler is best for their situation? While there are a number of choices on the market, the MoniSafe 500 from Nautilus Hyosung could be a great option for high volume locations. In this article, we will discuss some of the features this product has and what value they will deliver to the market.
MS500 - Speed
In testing this unit in a live lab environment, the MS500 takes notes in and gives them out at over 10 notes per second. This speed makes it one of the fastest, if not the fastest, in the market. This is a great improvement over the 400A, which had a 200-note escrow feature that slowed the process down quite dramatically. Especially for deposit transactions, real-time processing has grown from 2 notes per second to over 10 notes per second, which is a major increase in deposit processing power.

MS500 - Capacity
There are two important changes from the 400A for the capacity of the unit. The MS500 has 1 additional large cassette to give it 3 large cassettes and 3 small cassettes compared to 2 and 4 on the 400A. In addition to adding that capacity, the unit has a large overflow cassette that money can be stored and reused at a later time (we will cover this more in depth in a later section). The MS500 also now boasts another large cassette that can marry up to the front of the MS500 to provide either loading or offloading without having to expose the cash. I feel this feature can be a game changer for high volume environments, especially when you factor in the additional speed in which it can either load or unload from the recycling cassettes. The fact that the larger cassettes hold roughly 2000 notes of teller money provides ample space to manage peaks and valleys of retail banking transactions effectively.
MS500 - Overflow and Loading Cassettes
The overflow cassette from Nautilus Hyosung is unique in the market. We wrote an article specifically talking about the magic of how that cassette functions here, The Magic with the MoniSafe Overflow Cassette. The major differentiating factor is not only will notes overflow into this cassette, but also then they can be recalled at a later time to replenish the recycling cassettes that have gotten low. No other cash recycler on the market can do that. In addition to keeping that cassette in the MS500, Nautilus Hyosung also added a cassette that marries up to the front of the unit to offload or replenish the machine as well. This is a great value-add, in that without exposing cash on the floor, a supervisor can either empty up to 2000 notes from the TCR or add 2000 notes to the TCR in mixed denominations.
